Paris 2024 Olympic Games: the Lecointre-Mion sailor duo selected in 470

It's now official: Camille Lecointre and Jérémie Mion have been selected to participate in the Olympics in the 470 mixed double dinghy category. The duo, who won the Test Event in Marseille in 2023, will aim for gold from July 28 to 8 August 2024. Camille Lecointre is already a double Olympic medalist (bronze in Rio in 2016, bronze in Tokyo in 2021), while Jérémie Mion competed in the Rio and Tokyo Games but missed the podiums.

Camille Lecointre expressed her joy after this selection: “After my second bronze medal in Tokyo, my first choice was to have a second baby. Coming back for the Games in 2024 was really not a foregone conclusion! To have the chance to be selected today is really great. So this will be my 4th Games and if I'm still here it's because I still have so much fun being on the water in regattas and in competition. This is what motivates me every day. The fact of having restarted in mixed with Jérémie brought me a new freshness. I got two bronze medals, now we just have to go higher! But it’s not going to be easy…”
