Miraculous Racing. The heavy defeat of Ulster, in England, against Harlequins a little earlier in the day (47-19), offered a last chance to the Altoséquanais to qualify this Saturday for the round of 16 of the Champions Cup. Stuart Lancaster's men seized the opportunity perfectly.
The Ciel et Blanc largely won against Cardiff (48-26) at La Défense Arena. Kamikamica, Kolisi for his first achievement under his new colors, Tabuavou, Tedder, Wade, Baudonne and Tarrit scored the seven Ile-de-France tries. Despite four tries on their side, the Cardiff players were unable to overthrow Racing. Nolann Le Garrec's teammates, under pressure before kick-off, lost their first three group matches in the competition, against Harlequins, Ulster and Bath. Efficient and led by very impactful forwards like Camille Chat, the Racingmen will therefore see the rest of the competition but will have to show a better face to reach the quarter-finals.
