Everything is ready for the"I. C. E. St. Moritz - International Concours of Elegance" that the 29th of February next at 1,800 meters of altitude, the spectacular frozen lake in the Swiss Alps, will lead the international jet-set (with cars...) on the snow.
"The lake of St. Moritz, it is crystal clear in the summer, cold in the winter - explain the organizers - allows you to create a fairytale-like atmosphere where collectors will be able to live the unique experience of driving on the snow covered track their cars, while the public will enjoy a unique spectacle. After a selection from the technical aspects to the care of a Committee of experts which examined the 122 requests of registrations received, are only about fifty cars, which will have access to the event which will take place on Saturday 29 February 2020 on the frozen lake.
The car will be examined by a Jury deliberately non-technical, and also trained by people who know and love cars, but the main business of which sees them engaged in the arts and in design. Then every car will be presented and illustrated on a platform by Marco Makaus, which will emphasize the historical aspects and stylistic features.
The cars will be grouped into five thematic classes, “Queens of the XX century”, “110 years of Alfa Romeo”, “movie Stars”, “Liveries iconic” and “Barchettas on the lake. Each class will have a winner and among the five queens will be chosen the winner. Prizes will be awarded additional, as the "Spirit of St. Moritz" and "Instalake". These special awards, which were introduced for the first time in the edition of 2019, represent the tradition and the future, and are a welcome innovation in the world of Concours d'elegance automobile.
