Spain's base camp at the World Cup: The University of Qatar

The Spanish team will use the University of Qatar as their base camp during the World Cup. It will take place in Qatar for the first time, in a country other than Saudi Arabia, and will be held from November 21 through December 18. FIFA has approved the request of the Spanish Football Federation, chaired and led by Luis Rubiales, to provide facilities that meet the needs of Luis Enrique's coaching staff.

Spain's headquarters is 28 km from Doha's International Airport. It is located in Al Dafna, Doha. Two training fields will exclusively be used by La Roja at the facilities. It also has a gym, recovery and meeting areas. These are the venues that will be used for the highest level of the most important football tournament on the planet.

Just 22 kilometers from the venue is Al Thumama stadium. It is less than half an hour drive. It is a very easy trip, as it is for all the other fields. The Al Bayt stadium, which is 39 km away, makes it a comfortable journey. According to the FEF, it is only 11 km distance between the university facilities and the international press center.
