Bronny James suffered a torn meniscus in his knee in a practice earlier this month and needed surgery to fix it, sources confirmed to ESPN on Thursday.

James, the son of this Los Angeles Lakers' LeBron James, told followers Twitch this week which he had suffered a knee injury. James is a sophomore in Sierra Canyon School, which has not played with any official games this year as a result of COVID-19 pandemic but has plans to play with a spring basketball year.

James, who's recorded at 6-foot-2 and plays with guard, averaged 4.1 points in 15 minutes a game as a freshman for its federal power.

LeBron James and spouse Maverick Carter are creating a docuseries on Sierra Canyon's 2019-20 season,"Leading Class," featuring Bronny along with his teammates. It premieres this week on Amazon.

The Los Angeles Daily News first reported that Bronny James required operation for your accident.
