How Bully Herbig filmed the Relotius case

For a long time nothing has been heard from Claas Relotius, the man who, as a "Spiegel" reporter, invented more than 60 of his articles or adjusted the content. On September 29, the film "A Thousand Lines" will be released in cinemas, which Michael Bully Herbig filmed with Jonas Nay and Elyas M'Barek in the leading roles. Nay plays Lars Bogenius, the story forger, M'Barek plays the adversary Juan Romero (Juan Moreno in real life).

In this edition of our podcast "Die Medien-Woche" we talk about the filming of the case as "media satire" with fictionalized elements, which remains quite close to the events that Juan Moreno described in his book "A Thousand Lines of Lies". Is that the end of the story?

Also, we talk about the just finished digital fair Dmexco, where the most important developments in digital marketing were presented. Specifically, it is about the sale of digital advertising, which media companies depend on in addition to income from users.

And we look again at the public service broadcaster, which broadcast the Queen's funeral in parallel on ARD and ZDF, because of the great historical importance, as it was said. Is that sufficient justification?

The "Media Week" is a podcast about the world of media and its makers. Christian Meier, editor at WELT, and Stefan Winterbauer, editor-in-chief of the industry service Meedia, talk about the most important topics of the week every Friday. Background, analytical, entertaining.
