Peter Mayhew death – played Chewbacca

Mayhew was crony to Han Solo (Harrison Ford) in many of the nine Star wars films, from the mid-1970s until a few years ago.

”He laid down the soul and heart in the role of Chewbacca, and it showed in every single box in the movies,” writes females in a Twitter statement. They write that he passed away at 74 years of age on Tuesday, with the near and dear ones at his side in the home.

”Peter was a wonderful man,” writes the Star wars creator George Lucas, according to the filmsajten IMDB. ”The closest thing to a wookiee as a man could be: a big heart, a gentle nature, and I learned to always let him win.”

”A big man with an even bigger heart, who never failed to make me smile, and a loyal friend who I loved very deeply,” writes Mark Hamill, Luke Skywalker in the films. ”I am a better person for I have known him. Thank you Pete,” adds Hamill on Twitter.
