Director Markus Imhoof falls out of the Oscar race

Switzerland has nominated "Eldorado" by the Swiss Director Markus Imhoof for the best foreign language Film . Now, Eldorado is"", however on the Shortlist. The Film was already out of contention in the pre-selection. Also, the Film was entered in the section "best documentary". But also on this Shortlist, he is no more.

German Director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck remains with his Film "a work without the author" in the race for the foreign Oscar. He did not make it to the Shortlisted nine candidates for the Oscar in the category best foreign language Film, the Academy announced. 22. January will be nominated from the Shortlist of five films, under which, in February, the winner is determined.
