Amref and the Brother of the Man merge: aggregates are the theme of the future for the Cooperation

These are the key elements of the path for the merger, which has seen the Association of the Brothers of the Man flow in Amref. A path that began in 2018, which ended formally in December 2019. "A theme of the future of the mergers and covenants," describes him as the director of Amref Health Africa-Italy, Guglielmo Micucci, who says, "we are pleased because next to the contribution of values - including human resources, new projects - we hope we have opened up a road, not only for us, but for the entire industry." The two associations by 2020, will be under the same name and logo, those of Amref Health Africa-Italy. Fifty years of development projects. Brothers of Man was founded in 1969 by Adolfo Soldini, and for nearly fifty years supporting development projects in the South of the World, supporting associations and local partners in projects dedicated to the access to natural resources, protection of biodiversity, the preservation of indigenous cultures, microcredit, and the formation of the new generations. In Italy it is present and strongly rooted in three different territorial realities.

more than 60 years of Amref. Amref Health Africa, was born in Kenya over 60 years ago, is present in Italy since 1987. It operates in 35 Countries south of the Sahara, with more than 160 projects for health promotion, highlighting african solutions to african problems, solutions that come from inside, from the heart of the community, who are the protagonists and not only the beneficiaries of the projects. "This path is born due to the effect of our deep opposition to the fragmentation of the world of development cooperation. The fragmentation that is leading to the irrelevance - especially in institutional relations - and is putting at risk the survival of many realities, " says Guglielmo Micucci. "That of mergers and alliances can be a way to merge the similar realities, towards a greater solidity, that means being able to give answers of a higher quality, to those who benefit from our interventions, in Italy, in Europe and in the world".
