Hiperber opens its third supermarket in Aspe and adds 75 establishments

The chain has more than 62,000 square meters of sales area after adding more than 4,000 square meters this year for three new openings.

The Hiperber supermarket chain from Elche has reached 75 establishments after opening a new surface in Aspe, which becomes the third inauguration this year, after those of Agost in Alicante and San Pedro del Pinatar in Murcia. The opening is part of the expansion plan of the company, which belongs to the Bernabeu family, as explained.

The new supermarket has involved an investment of 0.65 million euros and employs 17 people directly, as explained by the CEO, José Bernabeu. It has an area of 1,800 square meters and 82 parking spaces and is located in an area of expansion in this town in the Medio Vinalopó region. The chain has three establishments in Aspe "with which the offer of the brand in the town and in the region is completed," they point out. The establishment has more than 7,900 product references, including leading brands and distributor brands.

This year Hiperber has invested more than 2 million euros in new openings and has increased the sales area by more than 4,000 square metres. "This year we are making a significant effort to expand our presence and make new openings, to continue improving our service to citizens," Bernabeu assured.

With 75 supermarkets, all in the province of Alicante except one in Murcia, the chain has a sales area of more than 62,000 square meters and more than 900 employees. The company closed 2021 with sales of 156 million euros, 6% more than in 2019, the year before the pandemic, according to data provided by the company. The figure represents 8.2% less than in 2020, a year considered exceptional in the food sector that grew driven by Covid.

Its commercial philosophy is based on promoting assisted fresh sections, as well as offering its customers the possibility of choosing between leading brands and distribution brands at the best prices.
