. You'll be overwhelmed by the abundance of couples photos, chocolates, and roses. In true Valentine's Day fashion with love in the air, many proposals take place on Valentine's Day.
Surprise! That's exactly what happened to Mary Lee , CBS San Francisco Bay Area meteorologist. Lee was filming a segment on the Northern Lights when Ajit Ninan, her longtime boyfriend, arrived with her two daughters Mirium (and Madi) in her hand. According to CBS San Francisco Lee thought it was a surprise visit from the family, but Ajit came onto the set and dropped to one knee in front of her.
Ajit stated, "You are amazing and beautiful." "I want to have you as a part of my life. "Will you marry me and be my forever girl?"
Lee accepted the proposal and stated that she had always wanted to see the Northern Lights behind her. Ajit, CBS News Bay Area and KPIX Morning team helped Lee realize her dream. The Northern Lights were able to stay on-screen behind them.
CBS San Francisco Bay Area's team was there to surprise the surprised, and it was called Operation Marry Mary! Lee joked that she didn’t believe something like this would happen and described the proposal as "incredible."
"I am still on high and still in shock. Lee agreed. Lee said, "Now we have to plan a wedding!"
