The 130 million euros in the Euromillions draw were won in Levallois-Perret

“My subconscious sent me a message. In my dream, I had won 120 million euros, I was not that far from the score. The lucky winner of the draw, a married man living in Levallois-Perret in the Paris region, was joking when receiving the nice jackpot of 130 million euros this Thursday at the FDJ headquarters, in Boulogne-Billancourt (Hauts-de- Seine).

The individual, who wishes to remain anonymous, occasionally plays Euromillions. It was only the day after the draw on September 29, during a dinner with friends in the company of his wife, that he became interested in the results: 9, 11, 13, 21, 32, stars 2 and 7. Or exactly the same numbers that he entered when validating his grid at Fontenoy, a tobacconist from Levallois-Perret. “It felt like an uppercut,” says the couple. The astronomical sum, the largest gain of the year in France, is also the historic record in the Hauts-de-Seine department.

This happy coincidence comes at the right time for the couple. “We have just experienced difficult years; it’s a page that turns; we are being offered a second life,” declared the couple. Once the shock passed, the woman put the receipt away “in a secret hiding place”, which she visited regularly. “I talked to the ticket morning and evening,” she laughs.

The lucky winners will now be able to enjoy their winnings. And one of their first pleasures was treating themselves to breakfast in bed. “We had it delivered early in the morning, no need to negotiate to know who would go out and buy the croissants, it was very pleasant,” they say. The new millionaires are now planning to take advantage of early retirement, travel around the world, or even help their loved ones and causes that are close to their hearts. “I don’t want a watch, jewelry or a yacht. The material doesn't interest me; It’s the authentic thing I’m looking for,” says the winner.
