Pluralism: Yann Barthès heard by the deputies at the request of the National Rally

The host of the Quotidien talk show on TMC, Yann Barthès, who does not invite members of the National Rally on his show, will be interviewed by the commission of inquiry into TNT frequencies, at the request of the RN, indicated Thursday the deputy Quentin Bataillon (Renaissance). The commission of inquiry, chaired by Quentin Bataillon, interviewed the heads of the largest audiovisual groups, as well as presenters from CNews and C8 (Canal group), including Pascal Praud and Cyril Hanouna. Their channels have been repeatedly targeted by the media regulator.

“Pluralism applies to CNews as well as to TMC, which refuses to invite certain political parties,” said deputy Thomas Ménage on X, whose RN party is not invited by this TF1 group channel. Yann Barthès again declared on the air, at the beginning of March, that “we do not receive the members of the National Rally but we scrupulously respect (the fairness) of speaking times” thanks to extracts from broadcasts and reports.

For Thomas Ménage, who co-signed a letter with four other RN deputies to request this hearing, “it seems inconceivable” not to hear before the commission of inquiry “the only information practitioners who ostensibly take a position against the fact of 'invite all representatives of the political spectrum'.

Quentin Bataillon agreed with them, indicating on “We will therefore audition Yann Barthès, Julien Bellver (columnist in Quotidien) and the production company Bangumi” which produces the show, probably next week, added this member of the presidential majority.
