For the occasion, the magazine is offering two versions of its exceptional cover, with Mylène Farmer, immortalized by photographer Marcel Hartmann, and is also on sale over a period of two weeks.

“Gala is engaging in a “premiumization” strategy by restoring the nobility of its “picture magazine” heritage, without changing its editorial line, indicates the journalist, who has been with the house for fifteen years. Today, more than ever, the press needs to produce beautiful objects. » Equipped with a new model, Gala now begins with the section “The eye of Nikos Aliagas”, in which a photo, captured by the host, is published. Then come the notable images of the week, each published on a double page.

On the editorial side, the magazine has chosen to homogenize its content, by mixing its content focused on fashion and beauty a little more with that dedicated to celebrities. New sections have been created, starting with the immersive “portfolio” of 6 to 8 pages, which immerses readers behind the scenes of an event or in the life of a personality for several days. In its Thursday issue, for example, it reveals the underside of the progress of the Notre-Dame de Paris construction site. Among the other event topics in this special luxury edition, Gala offers its readers an interview with singer Alain Chamfort conducted by his daughter or the exclusive interview with French swimmer Léon Marchand on the way to the Paris Olympic Games, conducted by Denis Brogniart.

“Beyond this special edition, the pagination of Gala, which usually hovered around 100 pages, will increase slightly for future issues,” explains Matthias Gurtler. The newsstand price of 3.40 euros remains unchanged. As initial economic and editorial synergies, the Figaro group will offer prestige subscription offers in the coming weeks, where digital and print subscribers will be able to have access to Gala in addition to their usual titles. Gala Croisette, the 96-page daily newspaper distributed in 15,000 copies in major hotels, restaurants and places to go out on the Croisette throughout the duration of the Cannes Film Festival, as well as the fifteen editions of the daily Gala Paris, imagined this time on the occasion of the 2024 Olympic Games, will be available for free in PDF version on the Figaro digital kiosk.

Videos from Gala, which has established itself as the third most followed media account in the world on young people's favorite social network, TikTok (more than 10 million subscribers), will also be broadcast on lefigaro.fr.
