Eiffage wins a 2.54 billion euro contract to build part of the Greater Paris metro

A group of companies led by Eiffage has won a contract worth 2.54 billion euros to build a section of line 15 of the Grand Paris metro, east of the capital, the group and the Company announced on Monday of Greater Paris (SGP). Eiffage is responsible for the design and construction of the section of line 15 between Bobigny-Pablo Picasso and Champigny-Centre, for entry into service planned for 2031, according to a press release from the SGP.

This automatic line, with a total of 75 km, must circle Paris via the inner suburbs with entry into service at the end of 2025 for the southern section, which will be operated by the RATP. The northern section should see the light of day in 2030. The contract for the eastern line notably includes the construction of six new stations: Bobigny-Pablo Picasso, Pont de Bondy, Bondy, Rosny Bois-Perrier, Val de Fontenay and Nogent-Le Perreux .

The COREA group of companies, led by Eiffage Génie Civil and made up of eight architectural firms, is also responsible for digging 17 kilometers of tunnel, the construction of 17 service structures including two tunnel structures, a operations center in Rosny-sous-Bois as well as two real estate projects. On an environmental level, Eiffage “is committed to strongly limiting CO2 emissions linked to the work by using low-carbon concrete and steel,” underlines the SGP.

Eiffage has already won 35 contracts as part of the construction of the Grand Paris Express, indicates the construction group in a separate press release. The Grand Paris Express, built by the public group Société du Grand Paris, is a super metro project worth some 35 billion euros which plans to build 200 km of new transport around the capital, including four new metro lines. automatic, numbered 15 to 18, as well as extensions of existing line 14.
