Artificial intelligence: “AI for good”, really?

We are very tempted to believe it. Artificial intelligence, on everyone's lips, nourishes many hopes. As the ChangeNow summit opens its doors this Monday, March 25 for three days, this impactful innovation meeting will once again give pride of place to technology. But not only that, far from it. And fortunately.

Because if artificial intelligence allows energy savings and numerous advances for the benefit of the climate or biodiversity, it would be illusory to think that we could save virtuous efforts thanks to it. Not to mention the risk of accentuating the divide with emerging countries. Two initiatives based on AI for the benefit of the latter, aiming, one, to protect the Amazon from illegal deforestation, the other, with Google, to prevent swarms of locusts which devour crops in Africa, are encouraging in this regard.

So, let's seize this great opportunity and prove that we are capable of putting it to good use.
