the Mayor Egon Fræhr (V) in the Road has decided not to stand again at the local elections next year. It writes the NB-Municipality.

- I have been happy to assume the role of mayor, but I have decided after 20 years to california and instead use my energy on something else. So when this period expires on barely a year and a half, new and younger forces to assume the task and responsibility, says Egon Fræhr according to a press release from the municipality.

Egon Fræhr became mayor in 2002 in the then Brørup Municipality elected to the city council on the Liberal party list, and has since 2007 been the mayor of new Road Municipality consisting of the former municipalities Brørup, Holsted, Rødding and Vejen.

Before Egon Fræhr was elected as mayor, he was senior consultant at the Agricultural advisory centre in Aarhus. Egon Fræhr is 69 years.
