Morgan Audic, winner of the Quais du polar/Le Figaro readers’ prize

It was a very close vote! It all came down to Morgan Audic, author of Nobody Dies in Longyearbyen (Albin Michel), and Marin Ledun, author of Free Queens (“Black Series”/Gallimard). The ten jurors, chosen from 160 applications, finally lined up behind the 2023 winner, Roxanne Bouchard, who, by videoconference, praised the qualities of Morgan Audic's novel. Which was able to be renewed after the incredible success of Good Reasons to Die (2019), his previous thriller set in Chernobyl. This time he chose Norway and the Lofoten Islands, where two women disappear under mysterious conditions. An Oslo police officer and a top reporter investigate.

Saturday April 6, at 10 a.m., at the Trinity Chapel, Bruno Corty, editor-in-chief of Le Figaro littéraire, will welcome four French thriller authors (Michel Bussi, Karine Giébel, Bernard Minier, Franck Thilliez) on the theme “Hot blood and cold sweats, focus on French thrillers.

At 11:30 a.m., at the town hall, Bernard Babkine, responsible for the book pages of Madame Figaro, will speak with Olivier Bal, Céline Denjean, Claire Favan and Nicolas Lebel on the theme “Blackmail, manipulation, revenge: when hell never ends.”

At 3:30 p.m., at the Palais de la Bourse, the same Babkine, on the theme “From the femme fatale to feminine power”, will bring together the French Benoît Collombat and Grégory Mardon, the American Meagan Jennett and the Brazilian Patricia Melo.

Finally, Sunday April 7, at 10:30 a.m., Bruno Corty will be at the Quai des Célestins for a literary cruise with Hervé Le Corre, master of the French novel, author of Who will live after us.
