Five-year-old Drake's son is designing the cover for his father's next album

A month after the remarkable releases of albums by Travis Scott and Post Malone, a new heavyweight in North American rap is making a name for itself by announcing a project in an original way. Rapper Drake has unveiled the cover of his upcoming album titled FOR ALL THE DOGS. On this one, we can see a kind of white creature with red eyes in front of a black background. The coloring is approximate and the lines seem childish. For good reason, the artist indicated that this creation was the work of Adonis, his five-and-a-half-year-old son, from his past relationship with the French artist Sophie Brussaux. A family work that would make the greatest graphic designers on the planet jealous.

Apart from this aesthetic choice, little has been announced about the album. Various sources close to the artist anticipate a release this Friday, August 25. However, nothing has been made official. On July 26, Drake had already raised the excitement with his fans by announcing the release of the album “in the next fortnight”, during a concert in New York. In the end, almost a month after this declaration, it is still impossible to hear the slightest note of FOR ALL THE DOGS. One thing is for sure though, the project will feature collaborations with Nicky Minaj and Bad Bunny.

At the beginning of July, Drake had turned into a writer to release Titles Ruin Everything, a collection of poetry written in collaboration with the artist Kenza Samir. It is a 168-page document in which Aubrey Drake Graham, real name, lays out his “musings on fame, romance and relationships”. It is through this book that the prolific 36-year-old rapper unveiled the release of FOR ALL THE DOGS, his eighth album. It succeeds Her Loss and Honestly, Nevermind, two projects released in 2022. The latter had been deemed disappointing by critics as well as by its fans. A lack of renewal and innovation had been criticized for the interpreter of God’s plan.
