40% of Spaniards claim that higher prices have forced them to delay their summer vacation plans. According to Appinio, 57% of Spaniards have had to cut down on the length of their vacations, while 30% of them have decided to cancel them directly due to inflation. This global market research platform shows that more than half of travelers are searching for lower-priced accommodation options due to the rapid rise in housing prices over the past week.

24% of Spaniards believe they will travel to vacation within the first fortnight in August. However, not everyone can afford the same length of vacation. 34% plan to travel between 6-8 days and 30% will travel between 2-5 days. Some respondents will only go on a one-day excursion (2%)

79% of Spaniards plan to spend their holiday in Spain, compared with 7% of those who choose to travel outside Europe. Spain's classic sun and beach destinations are still a favorite: Andalusia (31%), Valencian Community (23%), Catalonia (14%), Galicia (13%), and the Canary Islands (12%)

Additionally, 53% of Spaniards would rather spend their holiday in a hotel than 6% who choose to camp or caravan.

When it comes to planning vacations, inflation is a key factor. Many Spaniards are planning to travel this summer, despite the fact that they have been able to afford the expenses.

24% of respondents plan to spend between EUR51-70 per day on holiday accommodation in the year ahead of those who spend less than EUR30 per evening (13%).

While 18% of respondents claim to have a monthly income between 1,001- 1,500 euros, 44% have had to put off their plans for summer vacation because of rising prices.

54% of respondents had to search for cheaper accommodation options. Even though 45% of respondents have seen the cost of gasoline rise, 61% still prefer to drive their car to get to their destination.

Yes, the Spaniards will reduce expenses in order to afford summer vacations (63%). People surveyed said that clothing (62%), bars and restaurants (77%), and clothing (62%) were the most consumed products. They are willing to sacrifice a few days to have a little more fun.
