Bonnesen hope their departure, diminish the pressure on Swedbank

Bonnesen was fired Thursday, shortly before the company's annual general meeting would pull the trigger. Now she lets herself be interviewed after a month of turmoil surrounding both her and the bank.

It is in the Danish finanssajten Finance.dk that she has chosen to lift the lid. On the question of how she has it, she replies:

" It's a good question. I'm trying to land in what has happened. I had not in my wildest dreams imagined that my more than 30 year long career in the bank would end up this way. The last six–seven weeks has been something at all can not imagine.

in connection with Danske Bank scandal, explained Bonnesen several times that Swedbank had not had problems with money laundering. But she doesn't want to talk about now.

" It has been run around so much in it. I have been recommended not to respond to it more. I would rather not answer, " she says to finanssajten.

On the question whether she has done anything wrong answer Bonnesen that Swedbank always characterized by that the man wanted to do the right thing and all the time strive to discover the weaknesses that can be improved.

– It is a scheme that has always existed in the bank and there I have felt safe with, " explains Birgitte Bonnesen.
