The socialist mayors of Almeria City Council visited Costacabana, the capital's Costacabana neighbourhood, and "they have verified a renewed abandonment of mayor and the PP Government team" to a peripheral area of the city, Adriana Valverde, spokesperson for the Socialist Group, Almeria City Council. "The absence of maintenance and pruning is common in all Costacabana's parks and green spaces," the socialist said. However, it is particularly severe in La Algaida because "the undergrowth, the weeds, and bushes have grown in such a way that these areas are plagued by all sorts of insects near the houses." Valverde, on the other hand, insisted that the mayor be made to look bad by stating that "the works for new sports equipment in this neighborhood have not yet begun, despite the promise made by the mayor at the presentation of the project, March 2021."
According to the socialist spokesperson, "the mayor promised this action to the residents of La Canada, El Alquian, and Costacabana but it is more than one year late". She also criticised that "not only does the work not start, but the old sports courts remain shut to stone, degrading and no one can use them as the neighbors requested.
Beaches

The socialist spokeswoman also mentioned other shortcomings in Costacabana's neighborhood. She said that the floor of La Solana playground is in danger of being unsafe for children due to its hardness. Also, there are no recreational or sports facilities for teenagers.
"Costacabana has not received a single investment since the construction of the neighborhood center," he stated. He demanded that the mayor "not waste anymore time on social networks."
