The Board undertakes work to improve road safety along the A-315 axis for a total of 3.7million euros

The Ministry of Public Works and Housing will carry out work to improve road safety along the A-315 communication axis. This investment totals 3.7 million Euros. Some of these works are already underway, like the Quesada variant. Others have started this week, including the work between Kilometer 3.1 and 3.9 between Torreperogil and Peal de Becerro. There, work will also take place between 20.7 and 20.9 at various points on this road to Quesada.

Lopez informed Jose Ruiz, Ana Dolores Rubia, Jose Ruiz and Peal de Becerro about the planned actions. He also explained that the three points along this road will carry out 181,000 euro pavement reinforcement works. This is in addition to other actions in the axis. Lopez stated that this will "significantly improve the quality driving for all who live on the roads".

Work has begun on the section between Kilometer 20.7 and 20.9 with an investment of approximately 60,500 euro. There are also plans to improve road safety in many kilometers between Torrerogil, Peal de Becerro, and between Quesada and Quesada. "Fundamental actions to keep this communication axis from Torrerogil and Baza optimal conditions" added the councilor.

Felipe Lopez highlighted other minor works that are being done on the same road. He mentioned the Quesada version with a budget 1.2 million, Huesa with a project of 1.1 million, and the Torreperogil variant with an additional amount between 800,000 to 900,000. He stated that work will be done in various parts of the province over the next few days to improve road safety.

The Ministry's infrastructure policy is based on the preservation and improvement of road safety. The Board allocated a budget for this matter of 123.3 million in 2017, which is an increase of 26.2% over the 2016 resources and 61.5% over what was spent in 2014.

The Ministry will receive 111 million euro in 2018 to preserve, order, promote and develop the road heritage of regional competence. 2018 will see the continuation of comprehensive conservation, which will be extended to the entire region network via 35 service contracts. Road safety actions will also continue, with road equipment improvements and eliminations of areas with high accident rates.
