Porcuna Health Center celebrates XVI Writing Contest for Schoolchildren

The Porcuna Health Center hosted the ceremony to award the XVI Writing Contest. Sixth graders from the Juan Carlos I and Santa Teresa Schools participated in the ceremony.

The contest involved four vignettes that students created to help them visualize their favorite parts of the health center after they visited it last April during an Open Day.

These initiatives are designed to help schoolchildren learn about healthy habits and health, as well as promote health education. The schoolchildren were shown how different professionals work within the multidisciplinary team. This was why they visited the center.

The event was attended by Trinidad Rus, the territorial delegate for Health and Families and Sandra Moraleda (managing director of Jaen District), who aimed to teach students how they can directly affect the health of the people. This includes promoting healthy lifestyles and adequate use of health services through the support of the education community.
