Over 30,000 people without power due to snow rolling through Southwest and Central Virginia

Information from ROANOKE, Va. Monday's snow left many without power.

Over 30,000 people without power due to snow rolling through Southwest and Central Virginia

Appalachian Power reports that as of 12:01 p.m., there were 37,400 customers without electricity in Virginia.

Below is a breakdown by county of the 10 counties that experienced the most outages.

Bedford County, 3,121

Nelson County 2,402

The Central Virginia Electric Cooperative reported that there were more than 4,000 customers without power in the area as of 12:01 p.m. Here is a breakdown by county:

4,056 in Nelson County
