Jose de Mora Secondary School is dedicated to providing the best technological resources

Ana Barrocal (Delegate for Education and Sports), and Manolo Gavilan (Mayor of Baza) visited the Jose de Mora Secondary school to learn more about "Aula del Futuro", a project that is equipped with the most cutting-edge technological educational resources. This initiative was launched in the Basque Institute for the 2021-2022 academic years with the goal of improving student learning and encouraging the development of skills. The "Future Classroom Lab", the English acronym for this Classroom, offers students multiple learning areas that allow them to be the real protagonists of their own learning.

The implementation of the Classroom of the Future in the IES Jose de Mora de Baza was the result of the wager by the center's management team to improve the teaching-learning methods with students. It started from the realization that it is important to update the methodology in order to meet the changing needs of society.

Yolanda Fernandez, the Councilor for Education of the Baza City Council; Antonio Suarez, the director of the Baza Teaching Center; Antonia Roman, the Ambassador of the Classrooms of the Future; and the management of the center's teaching staff.

The students were able explain their work with the 3D printing, home automation, and virtual reality workshops during the visit. A group of students also explained the process of archaeological research, including the recreation of the Lady of Baza discovery.

The Mayor and the Delegate agreed to emphasize the innovative nature this initiative, which is project-based learning. This method uses the most advanced technical resources. They also value the project highly. According to Bastetano's mayor, the effort of the teaching staff as well as the participation of the entire educational community are essential in preparing students for the future. Manolo Gavin also points out that the Classroom of the Future is a complete educational offering from the city of Baza.
