Armilla will host a meeting with Matias Fernandez Salameron on Sunday

Matias Fernandez Salameron, author of several works for adults, will visit the Casa Garcia de Viedma de Armilla on March 29 to meet with families and children. Although he is a prolific author for adults, the Almeria native has been captivated by children in recent years. His works include respect for children and important issues like bullying.

The author will be available to answer questions and give information about his life. All children attending the meeting will be served a light snack at 5:30 p.m., followed by a talk and discussion with the author of the stories at 6 p.m. Authors such as "The light of memory" and "The corner of dreams" have created entertaining stories that offer optimistic solutions to all kinds of problems.

Salmeron was born and raised in Berja. She currently resides in Ogijares. The story for children 'SuperLola y la granventuradel cole' is her latest success. It was published by Esdrujula Ediciones. This book narrates Lola's life as a nine-year old girl who experiences bullying at school because she's "a little chubby". This story, published in 2017, will help the smallest members of the house understand loneliness and the offenses they are subject to from their peers. Soraya Molina illustrated the book.

The Armillero municipality's Book's Tree Reading Club, which was founded by many book lovers in the area, organized this activity. Salmeron will answer questions about his books and show the children how he tells stories. He'll also explain how he got the inspiration to create each of the texts he has published. Salmeron considers each book written for children a "challenge", particularly if it is done well.
