Almeria was chosen to host the UNED's annual meeting of directors. It will be held next year. This will make Almeria the capital of distance education, following the award this year for which the UNED celebrated its 50th anniversary.
The UNED Centers management teams met to celebrate the 50th anniversary. It also served, Jose Jesus Gazquez, the Center Director, to discuss and share the present and future of the Centers Associates'. Gazquez was very happy with the decision to host the next meeting in Almeria after Almeria representatives submitted a long and hard-fought application.
During the workdays, the management team of Associated Center of UNED in Almeria had conversations with Ricardo Maira about their needs, strengths and the enthusiasm that is being used to implement them. The next course of the Degree In Early Childhood Education will be offered. The Associated Center of Almeria takes great care of itself and offers qualified teaching staff to teach classes. This is one of the most important aspects for students.
Jose Jesus Gazquez also pointed out that the Rector had shared the exceptional values of the institution and its characteristics with Jose Jesus Gazquez during their contacts. He also highlighted the challenges facing education in the future and a UNED which is a leader in the use new technologies. That works every day in knowledge transmission and research, listens to society, and in which all of us are protagonists. A UNED that returns everything society has contributed>>.
UNED was founded 50 years ago as an initiative to make higher education accessible to all Spanish citizens. There are 61 centers associated with the university in Spain, 100 classrooms that are assigned to them, and 22 abroad. It is worth noting the last center in Seattle on the west coast of America, which was established through an agreement with Microsoft. The university offers 30 degrees, including new degrees on Energy Engineering and Early Childhood Education. The UNED is home to more than 3,000,000 students. It has the largest campus in Europe, and the largest university in the world, with 200,000 students.
The UNED offers a degree in early childhood education
Jose Jesus Gazquez is the Center's director. He invites you to visit www.unedalmeria.es to see the Center's facilities and to participate in the Informative Sessions. These sessions will take place on June 30, 2022, at 10:30 am and July 4, 2022, at 10:30 am. They can be attended online or in person. Participants will be issued a certificate of participation.
The director also highlighted the fact that no grade is required to study the new Degree of Early Childhood Education and that anyone who meets all the conditions for access will be eligible to obtain their Degree in Early Childhood Education from the UNED.
