The first "Ordinance to contain the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg" came into force on April 2, 2020 - almost three years ago. 79 more of these containment ordinances were to follow. The validity of the 80th edition ends on Tuesday, i.e. at the turn of the month. There shouldn't be any more.

But she also made it clear that the corona virus had not disappeared. “Vaccination remains the best protection against a serious illness. In places where space is tight or where a large number of people come together, wearing a mask helps to significantly reduce the risk of infection," said the senator. The infection process will continue to be closely monitored by the authorities "in order to be able to react accordingly if the situation changes."
