The north pole rushes against Russia. Now, the projections should be scrapped

You may have a mental picture of the north Pole a place far, far to the north, safely placed under an equally safe planted the flag as a historical adventurer has left.

In the years, however, scientists made a unique exception from the rule, when they saw that nordpolens migration toward Siberia in Russia has increased significantly in speed, something that can have a big impact on the navigation systems used by the military, commercial flights and other moves in the vicinity of the north Pole.

Even though the navigation systems in several smartphones and car-GPSer use map based on the WMM models, there is little reason to worry about for most people.

There is talk of a correction on a fraction of one degree. Most sensors are only accurate to within a few degrees initially, " says geophysicist Ciaran Beggan, British Geological Survey, to The Guardian.

most of The WMM-users will, in other words, hardly notice the difference between the old and the new WMM model. The most dramatic impact takes first place when one moves in the Arctic.
