Both the Iphone and Android phones set the time automatically if you have turned off the setting. If you want to check that everything is correct on an Iphone:

■ make sure that you have the latest version of IOS. Then go into Settings and General > Date and time. Check to make sure Set automatically is enabled.

■ Verify that your phone shows the correct time zone in Settings > General > Date and time > time Zone.

Android phones works in the same way: In the setting of the date and time automatic time turned on.

Yes, it seems so. On Wednesday, voted the EU parliament for a proposal to abolish the annual time of two years, in 2021. The EUROPEAN commission has long been working to abolish daylight savings time, and the decision of the EU parliament is a major step on the way. But before it is implemented, decisions shall be taken in the Council of ministers, which decides how the law should be.

■ the EUROPEAN parliament has voted for that the year 2021 will be the last year when we set about the clock between summer and winter time.

■ All countries of the EUROPEAN union shall, prior to decide what time you would like to have: eternal summer or eternal winter.

■ For those countries that want to have winter all year round would be the last time happen on the 21st of October 2021. The countries who choose the eternal summer will make the last transformation already on 21 march of the same year.

Among other things, Finland has pushed to abolish time. Many people feel that it causes insomnia, and some studies show that associated with a marginally increased risk of heart attack for people in risk groups.

the Plans took off in earnest after EU-citizens been consulted in the matter in an online survey last year. 84 per cent of the 4.6 million who responded wanted to ditch the time. Fun facts: 70% of those who responded to the survey were germans.

Sweden have not yet had their say in the matter. The swedes themselves seem to prefer daylight saving time, according to a survey DN/Ipsos did in 2018. It shows that more swedes – 37 per cent – want to have daylight time all year, against 29 percent who would rather have permanent winter time/standard time.

When in everyday speech talking about winter time is the standard time you mean. Standard time was introduced in Sweden in the late 1800s, and meant that the whole country got the same amount of time. Before its varied the time from city to city. Daylight savings time is a temporary deviation from the normal time. Daylight saving time has been introduced in the sample in Sweden during the 1900s, and became a permanent feature in the country in 1980.
