Roglic turns to the Tour de France test

Some of cycling's biggest names the past three days tested themselves at the Tour de l'ain ahead of the delayed version of the Tour de France.

Here, have one rider, the 30-year-old slovener Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma), sent a powerful warning to the rest of the field. On Sunday, he went thus the second world championships in a row, and he secured the overall victory in the race.

Sunday's stage was 145 kilometers long and featured three tough mountains.

In the course of the Tour de l'ain has Roglic run faster than, among others, last year's Tour de France winner, Egan Bernal (Ineos). The 23-year-old colombianer end up as number two in front of compatriot Nairo Quintana (Arkea-Samsic).

Jumbo-Visma arrive after the plan for the Tour de France with an exceptionally strong crew. In addition Roglic has the team, among other things also over the two strong dutchmen Steven Kruijswijk and Tom Dumoulin.

the Tour de France, which has been postponed due to coronapandemien, stands to be shot in time 29. august. The last stage is run 20. september.

Also the other two major stage races, the Giro d'italia and the Vuelta a España, has been postponed and will be run in the course of the autumn.
