Nearly 50,000 danes have this car: Now comes a new edition

Octavia is the Czech Skodas best-selling car model. The entire 6.5 million. cars it has so far been to of the model, which was actually introduced way back in 1959 and has since re-launched in 1996.

Octavia IV are Skodas next plug-in hybrid car after the Superb, and opladningsudgaven of the Octavia gets an electric motor of 75 kW and a petrol engine of 156 hp. Together, the benefit is 204 hp. The battery is 13 kWh, and it provides an electric range of 55 km.

The new Octavia will also be Skodas first mild-hybrid car. Specifically, it will say that you can choose between a 1.0-liter or a 1.5-litre petrol engine respectively. 110 and 150 hp, and both engines are equipped with a belt 48 V startermotor and a 48 V lithium-ion battery. The battery collects the energy from braking, which startermotoren then use to help the petrol engine by accelerations and to roll on electric power alone.

As it is gradually, the custom is, when car manufacturers develop new models, so grows the cars in size. It also goes by Octavia, where hatchbacken is 19 mm longer and again built is 22 mm longer. The width is increased 15 mm to 1829 mm, while the wheelbase is 2686 mm.
The larger dimensions means that there have been added 5 mm to the knæpladsen in the back seat, so now it is 78 mm. At the same time is the boot in again built has grown 30 litres, so it now holds around 640 litres of luggage and, thus, is the class's largest trunk. Octavia hatchback accommodates 600 liters - 10 liters more than in the past.

Further news count also the exclusive equipment as massagesæder, head-up-display and DSG-automatic transmission with shift-by-wire. The new Octavia is introduced in Denmark for the summer next year.
