Kerstin Andersson sounded the alarm about the fire in the manor

the Day after the devastating fire in the scenic area on the outskirts of Norsborg is the smell still clear. The beautiful mansion house which was a few steps away from the shores of lake Mälaren, is completely nerbrunnen – in the fight against the fire was the emergency services early on to abandon the hopes to save the wooden building from the end of the 1790s, and instead concentrate on saving the surrounding houses.

Kerstin Andersson, who lives in the house next door, was the one who sounded the alarm when she noticed that it was burning under a staircase in the mansion.

– When burned it simply under the stairs. I ran the check and retrieved my phone. When I came out again it had already begun to burn on the upper floor.

– Just like this! Like a bolt of lightning. It was pitch black smoke, and the flames were in blue murder, " says Kerstin Andersson and makes a gesture with his arms to show how fast the process was.

SOS alarm received larmsamtalet at 16.34 on Tuesday. Then came a sharp alarm to Södertörn brandförsvarsförbund just over two minutes later. Due to another fire in Södertälje, sweden, where fire trucks from the station in Botkyrka, already occupied, which meant that the first unit on site was from a station in Stockholm who had moved to the area.

– 16.55 appears to have been ahead of the game. It was a car belonging to Tyresöstationen, " says Tillander, chief operating officer at Södertörn brandförsvarsförbund.

" You have to look at the overall picture, including the event in Södertälje. Then was a car from Huddinge, sweden to arrive around the same time. The police are a little more scattered all over the place, and can have a car in the vicinity when a fire arises.

like a number of people who are on the site the day after the fire is Kerstin Andersson sad and obvious account of the event. DN has been in contact with the man who lived in the manor house, which caused grief tells us that he does not want to talk about the incident.

" I have had the privilege to have been living there for 30 years. We were not at home yesterday when it happened, " he says in a short comment.

Leif Forsstedt and Hillo Nordström, both active in the Association Cottage Tranquility, has worked for a long time to get up the interest for Norsborgs mansion and the park surrounding it. Among other things, they lift up a bell tower, the temple ”Eleonora umbrella” and the grave mounds from the viking age found in the area.

" We have been afraid that the tower might get in trouble. We never saw any threat to the mansion. It has been inhabited, " says Hillo Nordstrom.

"I would have noticed it if it was something, I'm sure," she says.
