Pepparkaksutställningen at ArkDes in Stockholm has opened. This year's theme of luxury has resulted in a spa bath, hot-air, skateboardramper and climbing tree.

Until 6 January you can at ArkDes pepparkaksutställning admire and be fascinated by a variety of pepparkaksbyggen on the theme of luxury, one more imaginative than the other. The perception of what luxury really is, differs a lot between pepparkakshuskonstruktörerna. Here, almost a house in a hot air balloon on the roof. a tree house is hidden in the forest and one of the houses has mosaikklätt bathroom with a spa bath.
At ArkDes, Architecture and design center, in Stockholm, compete, children, young, adults, amateurs and professionals side by side. A jury will select the winners in the Gingerbread house in 2018. The jury was composed of industrial designer Björn Dahlström, konditorn Frida Leijon and architect Kristin Gausdal. A winner is chosen in the categories of:
Architects, designers and bakers
Up to 12 years old
All other baking
– I will look at how you have interpreted the theme and translated it into physical form, degree of innovation and creativity, they created the spatial relationships and context, materiality and the constructive ability, says Kristin Gausdal.
The favorite voted on by the audience. The winners will be announced on 16 december at the exhibition.
