Ford pulls out a big-SUV to Denmark: Costs over 1 million

do you need a gigantic SUV with space for seven persons and plenty of hybridkræfter, you have soon more opportunities on the Danish market.

Toyota announced recently that their Highlander SUV coming to Denmark, and now communicate to Ford, the new Explorer plug-in hybrid is coming to Denmark after the summer.

Explorer, which comes to Denmark in two different equipment variants, is equipped with a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine with an electric motor, startergenerator and a 13,6 kWh lithium-ion battery. Together provide drivlinjen 457 hp and 825 Nm, which makes the Explorer to Ford's most powerful hybrid car.

the Model can run up to 42 km on pure power and up to 32.3 km/l with CO2 emissions of 71 g/km. The battery is charging with the power and through regenerative braking.

the SUV will have the Ford 10-speed automatic transmission, intelligent all-wheel drive and Terrain Management System with seven different driving modes. Explorer plug-in hybrid has room for seven adult passengers and can have up to 2500 kg on the towbar.

- The new Ford Explorer plug-in hybrid is the epitome of a versatile car. This is the first time ever, we offer a luxurious car that can tackle any terrain, pull a boat without any hassle and run on clean power, said Matthias Tonn, Ford Explorers european chief engineer, in a press release.

Ford warrants that in the Explorer plug-in hybrid is good space to accommodate seven adult passengers with almost a metre's central square on all three row of seats and more than one and a half metre shoulder and hofteplads on the first two row of seats.

in Addition, the cabin is equipped with, among others, five 12-volt sockets, dual USB inputs to first-and second-row seats, 12 cup holders and 3-zone air conditioning.

Adds the two rear row of seats down, there can be up to 2274 liters of luggage.

The new Ford Explorer Plug-in Hybrid can be ordered now and are expected to be launched in Denmark after the summer.

Explorer Plug-in Hybrid ST-Line is available from 1.027.325 kr. Explorer Plug-in Hybrid Platinum is available from the 1.034.380 kr.

the Model is also one of the 18 new electrified Ford vehicles, which will be launched in Europe in the course of 2021.
