Finally: Here is the long-awaited Tesla

Up to 482 kilometres on a charge, 0-100km/h. at 3.5 seconds and a starting price before taxes and fees of approximately 258.000 euros.

This is what Tesla promises that the new and long awaited Model Y will be able to offer. The car is a high crossover a la the existing Model X, but based on the somewhat cheaper Model 3, which has just come to Denmark.

The american elbilproducent lifted the veil for the car in the night during an event in Los Angeles, and the first cars are expected to be ready for customers in the autumn of next year.

Tesla is putting out to build more luxurious and more expensive versions of the car, and the cheapest variant is expected to be ready in the spring of 2021.

Since Tesla chief Elon Musk in his time, and Model the Y-project, it was his sense to build the car at its very own newly developed platform. The idea ended up, however, to be scrapped and instead let the car share the technique with the Model 3.

Several international media writes that it is part of the reason that Tesla is now relatively fast can get the car ready to roll out on the roads.

Although the car from the outside looks like a smaller version of the Model X, it will not, however, adopt the big brother characteristic 'mågevinge'-doors.

According to Autocar, there are great expectations for the new electric car. Tesla rains supposedly with that it will get to sell more copies than the Model S, X and 3 combined. This is due, among other things, that the demand for high crossover models is soaring at the moment.

Tradition has Tesla already opened for that one can reserve the car. It costs approximately 16.500 dollars in deposit.
