Both Braunstein Single Malt whisky and the Braunstein Danica Peated Whiskey won double gold in San Francisco World Spirits Competition. The news created the pride and joy on the mikrodestilleriet at Køge Harbour, because the results from San Francisco was published recently.
”We can really feel the crisis, but we have never lost faith in the future. Now we have got the classy smagsvurdering on two of our whiskies, and it is good marketing and a good push. We are very proud of the recognition,” says Michael Braunstein.
the Competition in San Francisco have a 20-year history and participated in this year over three thousand different spirits, which was rated by 40 high-profile ekspertdommere, as blindsmager in order to ensure an objective evaluation. When all of the judges place a whisky in guldkategorien, so call it a double-gold.
It was also gold for the Braunstein Danica Gin and Braunstein Library Collection 20:1. Also Aalborg Dined brandies received gold, while the Braunstein Library Collection 19:2 and Braunstein Edition 11 got silver. There was also silver for Stauning Peat Single Malt Whisky and Stauning Curious Whisky. Finally got Stauning Malted Rye Whiskey and Aalborg snapsene Dill, Nordguld and Jubilæums akvavit bronze.
