DR-profile takes major step after the surprising firing

The long-standing DR-host Jacob Riising was one of the more than 200 DR-staff 10. October last year was fired as part of the latest big sparerunde.

- I don't know. I've simply just started a company, and then we shall see what happens. I have a lot of plans, but nothing official or concrete yet. I still make a lot of tv, give lectures and write books, so on that front, nothing has changed, says Riising to Ekstra Bladet, adding that 'a private company' has long been high on the wish list.

- Now I have just been given the opportunity to have my own company, and I have been wanting for a very long time. I would like to be independent and master in its own house. So on this way one can say, that the firing from the Danish Radio was the best thing that could happen.

You is known as a creative and inventive person, so what just happened with the name ’Jacob Riisings company’?

I simply could not find anything better. I don't know anything about having a company. I am totally a beginner and am about to learn what vat is. I have made tv my whole life. I have only gone in 10. class. I have not even gone in high school, so it's there to start his own company has been for me a big one on the experiencer.

What is the next step?

- I must have created a firmabankkonto, and then I have employed a yummy secretary and got a good kantineordning. So there is enough to see in my big company. And then I started with several books, several tv programs and maybe some podcast.
