Now, reports the BBC to the European court of human rights establishes that Amanda Knox had not had proper access to defense during the process. She had not received the assistance of an interpreter, to the extent that had been necessary.

Knox has been extra vulnerable during the criminal investigation because she was only 20 years old and spoke fluent Italian.

Italian authorities have also failed to sufficiently investigate the abuses that Knox claims that she suffered for it.

She herself has previously stated that she has been beaten in prison, something the court has not been able to determine.
