Association for nature conservation lack of certainty for the green ambitions in Avedøre

the Government's plan to extend the field of business at Avedøre Holme with nine new islands arouses the scepticism of the Danish society for nature conservation (DN).

Although the area, according to a press release needs to be 'one of Northern europe's largest, greenest and most innovative business centres', they miss the association response on how the green ambitions are to be realised and financed.

- You say that you want to the green. We are obviously very happy.

- But we miss that one is more concrete in relation to whether it alone is about to take a cycle path and so providing space for companies working with environmental issues, says Nina Larsen Saarnak.

She is the leader of the local cases in naturfredningsforeningen.

the Area has been dubbed the Islets, according to a press release to be 'filled with the recreational experiences for both children, young people, families and older people'.

the Danish policy - 7. jan. 2019 - at. 13:14 New islands to attract companies to the capital

But naturfredningsforeningen miss that one in more detail, describes how the green mark is to be realized and financed.

Otherwise there is a risk that it will be cut away later in the process, sounds it.

- the Intention is good, but we feel not comfortable, that it becomes something and gets a grant to the nature before we have seen the funding and a more concrete plan, " says Nina Larsen Saarnak.

She believes that the tracks from for example Copenhagen's Nordhavn scares.

- It is often the case that you find out that the green becomes too expensive and you can get more money out of it, if one is using the land for something else. And so it becomes not something, she says.

the Government is waiting to the new commercial area south of Copenhagen can attract 380 new businesses with up to 12,000 jobs.

the Plan is to jordopfyldningen to the first of the nine new islands can begin in 2022.

the Area expected to be fully operational in 2040.
