the Children lived so isolated in their homes, that some of them were not even aware of the role of the police, as it appeared among them.

Two girls on 11 and 14 years old had been released from their shackles, shortly before the police arrived to the home. A 22-year-old son was still chained.

No one had a suspicion
It has previously emerged that the family not before the arrest in 2018 was in the police or the authorities ' spotlight.

not Even the family's nearest have claimed that they never have grasped the suspicion to the cruel conditions that the children lived under.

Søskendeflokkens grandmother has told the u.s. media NBC News, the 13 kids are always dressed alike and in a row, according to age, when they left the house. On the surface it seemed quite normal, swollen she:

- They were just like any other family, and they had so good relations to each other. It is not just something I find on. The children were really amazing and would always say 'sweet' to each other. We were always quite surprised at how courteous they were, tells Betty Turpin.

Louise Ann Turpins sister has in the aftermath of the gruesome revelations about the extensive abuse told that she is deeply surprised by the truth, which she thought was quite different:

- We always thought that they lived the perfect life. She would tell us that they went on trips to Disneyland and Las Vegas all the time, says Teresa Robinette.
