the Opinion has created huge outrage on social media, while others have been more sympathetic to her past.

As the video began to go viral came Cardi B according to Cosmopolitan, even with the following statement about its controversial video, which actually is a three year old video, which she posted on instagram:

'I can understand on the social media, to a live video I made three years ago has popped up again. A live video, where I talked about things I had to do earlier in my life. Right things and wrong things. Things I had to do to survive'.

'I have never claimed that I'm perfect or come from a perfect world or a perfect past. I always speak the truth. I own my own shit.'

'I'm part of a hip-hop culture, where rappers have glorified murder, violence, drugs and robberies. Crimes they felt they had to commit in order to survive'.

'But I have never glorified the things that I said in the live video. And I've also never used it in my music, because I'm not proud of it, and I feel I have a responsibility not to glorify these things'.
