Many exceptional lots will be auctioned such as Novak Djokovic's racket autographed during the 2008 Australian Open (his first Grand Slam victory), a ball from the 2023 Rugby World Cup signed by all the players of the XV of France or a jersey of the French team worn, dated and signed by Hugo Lloris. The objective of this solidarity sale is to allow at least 50 people to get back into sport thanks to the financial support and help provided by Play Again. Donations will be allocated to life projects as well as to the Institut Curie, the association's research partner, as part of improving treatments and the quality of life of cancer patients in particular. Play Again, founded in 2022 by Guillaume Delamarre who fought and beat cancer, refused to stop playing tennis during his treatments (2019 – 2022). French number 1 in the veteran rankings and 55th in the world in his category before his cancer, the practice of sport allowed him to endure heavy medical treatments, then to rebuild himself physically and morally. Currently in remission, Guillaume Delamarre will certainly be declared “cancer free” at the next examination. The sale will begin at 7 p.m. at the Hôtel Drouot and will be broadcast live on Drouot.com.
