“The 2024 season will be my last, I have decided to end my career,” announced the 30-year-old in a video published on the social network Instagram.
Among the reasons behind this “carefully considered” decision, he cites the state of his wrist but also “a deep feeling” which has been driving him for “a long time”.

During his career, Thiem has won 17 tournaments including the US Open in 2020 against German Alexander Zverev, his only Grand Slam title.
