The Paloise Section formalized this Tuesday the arrival in its staff of former international referee Jérôme Garcès. As a refereeing consultant, Jérôme will speak once a week to the players and staff, when he is not called upon by the French XV, with whom he has been involved since 2021.

“Benefiting from Jérôme Garcès’ expertise in the field of arbitration and discipline is undeniable added value for our team. Its missions will revolve around three target audiences: all players, our game leaders and our technical staff. It is an immense privilege to integrate an international reference in arbitration into our project, who is also from Béarn!”, said Sébastien Piqueronies, the manager of the Section.

A world reference in the field of refereeing, Jérôme Garcès ended his career as a referee in 2019 by directing the World Cup final in Japan.
