The Le Havre football club filed a complaint after the attack on a Lensois supporter in the stands by Le Havre spectators during the Ligue 1 match between the two teams last Friday, the HAC announced on Monday.
“At the end of the HAC-RC Lens meeting, a fight broke out between a Lens supporter and Le Havre spectators. Injured, the RC Lens supporter was taken care of by the stewards, then by the first aiders and the doctor dedicated to spectators, before being able to leave the enclosure,” details the club in a press release. “Following these acts of violence, the club is filing a complaint against the spectators involved and will at the same time take measures against them,” adds the HAC.
According to videos posted on social networks, Le Havre supporters violently attacked a supporter wearing the Sang et Or colors in the stands, at the very end of the match. The events took place after Lensois supporters celebrated their player Florian Sotoca's added time goal, which was ultimately refused for offside. The match ended with a 0-0 draw.
