Ligue 1: beaten in Marseille, Julien Stephan does not want to “worry after 15 days”

Julien Stephan, the Rennes coach, regretted on Sunday a lack of efficiency from his team in both areas during the defeat conceded to Marseille (2-0), but he assured that he did not want to worry after 15 days. “I've only been here for 15 days and I'm not going to worry after 15 days,” said the new Rennes coach, who arrived to replace Bruno Génésio.

“The week isn’t perfect but it’s not bad either. We won two matches. We hoped to continue but that was not the case. We have to get back to work before the big match that awaits us against Monaco,” he added. “We have to be fairer and more decisive on both surfaces. We have to work, correct, also instill something in terms of racing and aggressiveness,” analyzed the Rennes coach. “We did not create enough danger. We had possession, but without doing any harm. They didn’t need much to score,” concluded Julien Stephan.
