“Meeting today in the General Assembly, all professional clubs and football stakeholders have validated by a very large majority the CVC agreement and the distribution of the funds provided by them,” indicated the LFP in a press release.

“These votes reinforce the total support of the professional world for the project to transform professional championships carried out by the LFP, and in particular the creation of a commercial subsidiary (LFP MEDIA) in partnership with CVC Capital Partners,” she said. added.

The creation of the commercial subsidiary of the LFP was thus widely approved (96.76% of votes), as were the statutes of the company and the partners' pact (96.62% of votes) and the distribution arrangements. of CVC's contribution (97.73% of votes).

This general meeting and this new vote on the agreement with CVC, which brings 1.5 billion euros to French football compared to 13.04% of its lifetime income for the Luxembourg investment fund, were organized following the opposition of the Le Havre club, which denounces the terms of the distribution of sums from the commercial company.

The president of the Norman club Jean-Michel Roussier referred this matter to the summary judge. According to the newspaper L'Equipe, a hearing is scheduled for Tuesday at the Paris Judicial Court.

The distribution of the 1.5 billion euros paid to clubs by the CVC firm was approved for the first time during the League's AGM on April 1, 2022.
