AC Milan will be without its Italian midfielder Tommaso Pobega for four months who was operated on for a left thigh injury on Thursday, announced the club, currently 3rd in the Italian Championship.
“Tommaso Pobega underwent surgery for an injury to the rectus femoris muscle of his left thigh. The intervention carried out in Finland by Professor Lasse Lempainen went perfectly,” explained the Lombard club in its press release. “The duration of his convalescence is estimated at four months,” it is specified.
Pobega, 24, was injured last Sunday during AC Milan's 3-0 victory against Monza on matchday 16 of the Italian Championship. He has played 13 matches this season with AC Milan which faces Salernitana (20th) on Friday as part of the 17th day.
